hiiii where'd you get your dark dark dark purple (nearly black) lipstick from? thank you :)

Hi! I got it as a gift from my friend; it's a lip creme from Sephora's store line. It's REALLY good, because the colour's highly saturated and it stays within your lips really well. It's also cheap, costs about SGD$20. The only con is that it's a little dry. Hope this helps!

Thanks for tagging friends! (:

A few days after the submission of our theses, some of the Year 4 seniors who had worked on their theses carried out an event called METAthesis!  The purpose of the event was to introduce juniors, who might be clueless as to what kind of research question to work on, to exactly that information, and also to share our experiences with them be they positive or negative.

I was particularly tired that day because I'd stayed up the entire night working on our final group project due for World Language class, but after 3 hours of sleep, while I was getting ready for the day, this package arrived!

I let out a whopping YESAH!  Because that's really what one ought to do.  I'd bought stuff from Yesah.Net and they had finally arrived!  The owner, Linda Hao, is extremely cooooool and dresses up so quirkily.  She's kind of like a fashion idol to me  #starsinmeeyes

So cute, please!  (:  This note came along with my delivery.

Had to cab to school because I was really exhausted.

My Pacman earrings are from Yesah as well!  Aren't they (humongous and) cute?  (:  I love accessories that cheer me up!

Reached school and we ran into a little logistics issue - had to switch rooms - but the event got rollin' soon enough.

Nat presenting!  I really enjoyed her presentation (and all the syntacticians' stuff, umm, which actually makes Gang the only other person hahaha so many sociolinguists in our cohort), because it had to do with Singlish and it's just something really different from what I'm familiar with!

Melcher went next!  I proof-read his thesis and I really enjoyed reading it.  There were some unexpected finds!  I did chide him regarding his consistent use of the semi-colon though muahahahaah

Rowland went next!  Hehehehe look at his beautiful selfie (taken while he went gallivanting in Korea during recess week, LOL).  He probably was the most hardworking out of us all, doing both a quantitative and a qualitative analysis!

Hahahaah Junyong's movie poster!  His thesis was really interesting because he interviewed both guys and girls regarding their opinions on sexual harassment, dressing and desire.

After this I didn't snap anymore photos because Thom's shutter sound is embarrassingly loud and Dr Park was seated right behind me  *sheepish*

When it was my turn, I told the juniors "I'm telling you all about my mistakes, because I don't want you all to commit the same mistakes"  HAHAHAA it was the truth!  Like, starting only in week 6...  Feeling intimidated by not having any 'worthy' data analysis and choosing to ignore the thesis entirely and not meeting with your supervisor...  Gosh.  It was certainly a stroke of luck I even made it through thesis!  Or maybe sheer tenacity.  Or I was shoved along by the support of my friends and family, lolol.

Div and Mor wrapping up the event!

The presenters took a group photo with our most supportive professor, the one who gave us permission to carry out this event!  :D  Hiya Dr Park.

And this is Kezia, one of the cutest juniors I know!  :DDDDDD  She is also a film buff and might be a potential supervisee of Prof Talib whoohooo!  :DD  She came up to me and asked me about my thesis, because I'm the only person who worked on Cinematic Discourse for thesis.  I tried to answer her questions the best I could but I think she's passionate enough to work something out for herself!  Generally, I have faith in people who are fascinated by films hahahahaha.  It's just a huge part of our culture, and if anyone dismisses the importance of movies in our lives, I'd like for you think about just how many film references you make on a daily basis and also how many film scenes guide you through your daily life.  It could be just a school scene, a job interview, or whatever...  Of course, one's gotta be critical when watching films, thinking about authenticity and representation of truth.  You also have to consider films of different cultures.  I think I'm too into American culture just by gauge of films watched so I'm trying hard to watch more French and Asian films!  Anyway I really hope Kezia does her thesis under Prof Talib!  :D

A bunch of us then decided to head to Holland Village for some drinks, and whilst in the 95 bus, Joji and Mor were asking me about my earrings, and I was just telling them about the gem of Yesah that I'd discovered, when we drove past a bus stop and there Linda Hao was!!!!  :DDDD  How oddly coincidental is that?  She was really quirkily dressed up as usual and looked fab.

Anyway, fangirl-ing aside, we decided to head to Wala Wala!

Hellooooooooo friends!  (:

Here're some fried calamari treated to an overexposure loool

And pizza!! :D  Was yummy

It was a Wednesday so the band Pennylane was performing  (:  They did a really nice rendition of Lorde's Royals, and were really good for other songs as well.  Out of the group of us, I think Mor and Div are most familiar with the current songs on radio, and Mor really was getting into the whole thing, singing along really enthusiastically  :D

Also helped that the bass guitarist was cute and reminded us of someone whom we thought is cute!!  :3 Hehehehe.

Check out Pennylane's stuff here: click!

Was a really good day and night  (:  Really miss the EL peeps!  Looking forward to seeing everyone again.  Results are gonna be released soon omg!!!  I can't decide whether I'm excited or terrified.  My graduation is contingent on my results, so, fingers crossed!

Much love,
Pamela
