Kam Jia Zhuang zi char at Ang Mo Kio!

Here's another entry on Kam Jia Zhuang zi char (zhu chao/tze char) at Ang Mo Kio!  I blogged about it once before, when Meinu introduced it to us - here's the entry if you want to read it!  I then brought my family back to try it, and it has since gotten the parents' seal of approval!  When Bryan returned from his vacation in Europe, we went there to have dinner.

Blue eyeliner on my lower water line!  Was trying a new product  :D

HAPPY BOY IS HAPPY WITH HIS THAI RICE NOT POTATOES

He got so tanned from the strong sun rays in sunny Amsterdam!  And without putting sunscreen too *horrified*

Always love having this dish - the soupy three egg (salted egg, century egg and chicken egg) dish with Chinese spinach.  It's so yummy!  I like how fresh the vegetables are, and how generous they are with the eggs.  :D

This Claypot drunken chicken herbal soup is a must order - my dad loves it!  The soup has a strong herb taste, but it's balanced well with rice wine (I think), so it just tastes really flavourful.

Also ordered this stir fried 4 veggie thing!  Didn't like this much as there wasn't enough lady fingers for my liking and also there was CELERY in it  *makesface*  I know celery's good for you but the smell is too pungent for my liking

We also had man tou (fried buns) that were really crunchy on the outside!

And the reason behind the man tou was.....

CHILI CRAB!!

Wasn't too bad, but wasn't the best I'd eaten either.  Had been craving crab for a long time though, so it was satisfactory.  I felt that the flesh of the crab wasn't firm enough, maybe it had to do with the freshness of the crabs!

If you want to visit the stall, I'd suggest going on a week day night because the staff is more attentive and you wait for a shorter time.  (:

Here's the address:
