One random thing that makes me happy: starting a new tissue box in my room. I don't know why but a full tissue box just makes my day better. I like throwing away the old one and being able to reach for tissue in the new box more easily. I'm odd like that.
Another thing that makes me happy: spontaneous meet-ups! I went to watch
22 Jump Street with Yihan yesterday night at 2150, and it was a brilliant movie - it was a riot. There were so many hilarious scenes and it just full of puns; I see Jonah Hill in a new light now. He co-wrote the story with Michael Bacall! Channing Tatum was alright. While some might find some transitions choppy, I think it was meant to be that way, seeing that they also used diegetic text in the film and made references to many clichéd film and tv tropes - everything was really just lighthearted. I was in the mood for some comedy! The ending credits were amazing too. There was a lot of swearing in the film though, and of course sexual content. It's M18 for a reason. And gosh, I was asked for my IC! Do I not look 18? But yeah, thank you Yihan for accompanying me.
He's been to China and back, yet I still haven't blogged about when we met up the day before he flew. So here it is!
Had lunch at Sushi Tei at Takashimaya because he was in the mood for Japanese. We were there pretty late, like 2ish? It was quite peaceful. If you're someone like me, who has her meals at haphazard timings, then this is one place to escape to if you're in town and can't stand the mid-afternoon crowds!
Favourite sashimi salad! I like the sesame dressing.
Dude's like "Bitch could you hurry up with the photo taking I be starvin'"
Scallop with mentai and cheese! Yummy.
That was pretty much all we ate because we took really long to eat it (was talking a lot) and somehow got full really easily.
It was a hilarious lunch, thank you for the great company!
Yihan's one of those special friends whom I know I can always talk to (about anything and everything at anytime), and his perspective is so unique that though sometimes I cannot understand his point of view, it makes my life all the more better because I don't know, my brain has to work a lot harder to process a lot more and I like it when I'm challenged?
In any case, yesterday, after the film, though I had to leave in the opposite direction, I offered to walk him to the train station. I like hanging out in the night. I'm a pretty neighbourhood kind of kid. Hanging out at void decks and talking shit, I used to do that. Or just at a friend's place. That's why I like it when I've friends who stay near me.
Happy for friends like Yihan who remind me of my secondary school self; she was a lot less jaded then. (: Hopefully I bring some joy to your life too, man!
I have to work later. I hope time passes quickly lolololol. But yay cars yay cars yay bmw yay cars.
Okay bye
