I headed back to
Artica Hair Studio at Far East Plaza for a change in hair colour before commencement (yes I know, it's been 2 months) and here's what went down that day!
3 months' of growth usually equates to 3 inches for me! I think my hair grows pretty slowly.
It usually costs $138 for a hair colour and hair treatment, but I decided to go for a hair treatment that was more suited for my brittle and dry ends (also got Bell, my stylist, to take off a few inches because I'm trying to grow out all the hair that's been bleached thrice), and that was more expensive with a promotional price of an additional $40! Usually it would cost $100+, I think.
It's literally called the Ambulance hair treatment, LOL. My hair is in dire need sobs!! But in any case, I had Bell do my hair again! I loved what she did with my hair colour this time. The previous time I was really undecided (click
here to read my previous entry on Artica!) and asked her to get it the lightest she could without using bleach. But this time I asked her to do a more toned down brown for me, with ash undertones.
And it turned out amazing! :D So happy with the hair colour. Oh, but when you get the head massage whilst washing out the hair colour, this other junior stylist is so amazing... He has mad skills. I think Bell's better with hair colour hehe
Looks a tad darker in room light but I'm honestly happy with it! Gonna try to move back to black hair, methinks.
Bell was really kind to give me a treatment to bring home!! :D It's really nice talking to her and having such a thoughtful stylist.
You can visit Artica at 14 Scotts Road Far East Plaza #04-64 Singapore 228213 or call at +65 68362891!
I came home, showered and... got ready to meet Flea. We had initially wanted to go to
5 Tapas Bar at Cuppage Terrace for dinner but the queue was INSANE so we ducked into Cuppage Plaza and found out that
Shinjuku had started operations after their renovation!
MAD EXCITED because I'd been there two times and both times, the food was amazing. SO DELICIOUS it really can make one cry tears of joy.
Pretty excited too because she'd also been here with me the previous time!
The little plate in front is appetizers! As per Japanese restaurant traditions, appetizers are served even if you don't order them, and they're chargeable! These were delicious; it was a mix of tuna with some crunchy tangy vegetable
While the sets are more affordable, we decided to go for ala carte items... First time, the tamago!
SILKY SMOOTH AND MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. I think it was Yihan who told me that there are really technical skills involved in making these tamago rolls!
Got shishamo ($7.60) and asparagus wrapped with bacon yakitori as well!
Got garlic fried rice as well, this really is fragrant and extremely tasty.
We also got the tempura moriawase ($18.80), which had a mix of eggplant, prawn, cucumber and sweet potato!
Everything really tasted damn good. The fact that the place is always packed with Japanese should be a testament!
Here's the address of Shinjuku if you wanna have a visit! I'm not sure, but they used to have a siesta in the afternoon, so do call ahead to check!

Decided to pop back to 5 Tapas Bar to have a look and it was thankfully, much less crowded!
Was quite a nice place; unfortunately, it closes pretty early at 12am-1am!
But we had to leave for
Zouk soon after so it was fine haha
Yay! :D
Bbg and I!
Then, Norman and Alejandra joined us!!! :DDDDDDDDDDDD So happy to have a mini Aarhus reunion. My pretty Spanish lady was in town as part of her huge tour around Asia! Honestly, can all you Aarhus friends come over to Singapore?!?!?!?!
It was Alex Niggemann at Velvet that night, but went to say hi to Hong and we stayed in Zouk!
You can obviously see the amount of crazy dancing done that night
hehe they look like they're creeping up on him
I honestly can't remember what these were but they were really yummy! Some bouncy bursts... something...? Hahahaha
Ending off with this photo I pulled from Zouk's album!
It was a good night :D
