I'm a light sleeper. I don't usually sleep a lot. This morning, I couldn't fall asleep, even though I was really worn out by the day's events. While tossing and turning about at 7am, my younger brother opened the door to my room, then popped out again. Then my mom came in. She took my iPhone charging cable for my brother, and then proceeded to close my windows. I assume the reason was because I was sleeping in my undies. With a shut door and a shut window, I finally fell asleep. Maybe I function better on recycled air. Or maybe the air out there's so horrible right now that only recycled air can allow me to fall asleep. The bloody PSI's above 100, what d'you reckon? Will I faint if I go for a jog?
My younger brother was embarrassed to come inside my room to grab my charger because I was in my undies. How hilarious is that? Considering I've probably seen his arse a gazillion times. Plus he's my brother. Maybe it's because I'm a female. Women's bodies are more "prohibited", I suppose.
The haze has really been making me feel dreadful! I'm clogged up and feeling warm the whole time. How did the haze just crawl up on us without warning? Missing the times when the air was clear!
Jumping very awkwardly to my topic of the day (LOL sorry),
Balaclava closed down last month! Went for the closing party on the 30th August.
What I woreeeeeeeeeeeee!
The bar's located at the 5th floor of Ion! Their lease had ended, and I guess maybe there're rent issues? Not too sure!
WAS HONESTLYYY SO GLAD TO SEE WANCHUN :D And Flea of course!!! (: Had a brilliant time catching up with them. Finally got to meet Zeng Yan as well! It's really cool to meet people who are on different paths than you (:
I'm pretty sad that the bar's closed. For one, the food there's really yummy. We ordered quite a few sides to share, like the foie gras burger, fries and calamari rings!
In particular this pasta was amazingly fresh yet creamy :D We went early because Balaclava's always really packed and this being their closing party, would be filled with regulars!
They even had a instant print booth thing with a proper backdrop outside of the bar!
Here's a group shot (:
The reason why Flea and I are such fans of Balaclava is mainly because of their resident band, the
Shagies! They're really dynamic and they have such AMAZING ENERGY! Honestly. Especially the lead singers. Their harmonies are great.
Zul got asked up stage to sing!! Hehe
With two of the Shagies' members! :D They've temporarily shifted to Harry's near Orchard Towers so if you wanna check them out, do head there!
The party ended at about 2am... Then Flea still wanted to party so we headed to Zouk where Adrian was KILLING IT for Poptart!!! Had such fun :D :D :D
Totally worn out from all those tequila shots and dancing about in 6 inch heels
Sorry for the lacklustre entry, I'm pretty out of it *-*
It's the F1 weekend! What's you gon' be up to? Holler if you wanna hang!
Love,
Pamela
