Andy and I went to
Muchachos for lunch a few months back!
They're a small eatery serving Mexican food, such as quesadillas and burritos. As you walk in, you'll see bar seats on the left of the area, the food counter on the right, and toward the back, a few tables! Andy and I chose to sit at the bar seats thou.
I got a Carnitas (pork) burrito ($12.95) with a mix of rice and beans, choosing sour cream for my sauce, and added guacamole ($1.75) and fajita vegetables ($1.45)! It came up to about $16.
Look at that glorious, glorious wrapped up tortilla. The pork was succulent and seasoned with many spices! The guacamole fused every ingredient together so beautifully. I'm not a huge fan of beans (but I really wanted to try out y'knw, the authentic beans thing), so I'd just stick to the rice next time. It was really delicious thou! Andy let me try his chicken one but I prefer mine. Anyway, the thing is HUGE. I didn't finish mine and packed the other half to take away hahahaha.
Here's Boss and the simply designed eatery. It's intriguing how some metal rods with light bulbs can immediately create such a different tone for the place.
Muchachos is located at 22 Keong Saik Road; it's within walking distance from Tanjong Pagar/Outram Park, and
here's a link to their website if you wanna check out more.
Found a matching door and window set to my earrings!
Tanjong pagar is a really nice place to walk about in the afternoon; some areas are really quiet and serene while others are bustling with activities. I guess I just like to look at the architecture because it's quite different from where I live, which is just a run-of-the-mill everyday HDB area.
I can't remember why we ended up in Somerset in the end, but we ended up at the Providore!
Got teas because it was a pretty warm afternoon. Don't ask me why I was clad in a denim jacket.
Bright pink eyes to match a bright pink earring!
Thank you for lunch and thank you for your company...... I remember you were friggin' tired that day because you had slept really late? Was it because of a soccer match? LOL. But in any case, I am gonno make you spend more time with me LALALA
Rushed over to Woodlands to have dinner with the extended family. I was really listless and restless in the train ride to the north. Bloody hell, it takes such a long time to get from town to Woodlands.
Little cutesy cousin with her rainbow loom bands!
She was very intrigued with my Pac-man earrings and somehow decided that she likes me more now (y'knw how kids are with their favourites), so she sat next to me during dinner and made me a ring. At my other cousin's insistence, she charged me $2 for it, and whilst I did pass the money to her, her mother made her give it back to me. Hahahahahaha I think entrepreneurship tendencies at a young age should be encouraged thou!
Ending this post quite abruptly - the other day, my dad, mom and I were driving into the carpark when we saw Banjeegal with her owner (Banjeegal's the little dog my mommy and I rescued, read
this entry for more) walking away from the estate. But we couldn't find a parking space and so we had to turn back out toward the carpark further away from our block. When we returned, Banjeegal was seated on the floor and just peering toward our car! She just wasn't moving. We got out of the car and walked toward her, and she was really excited to see us!!!!! *dies of happiness* Somehow she could sense us, even though we were in the car. I asked Aunty if it was her who had recognised our car, but she said that it was Banjeegal who had refused to continue walking. OMG IF THERE'S ONE THING I'VE DONE RIGHT THIS YEAR IT'S TO SAVE THIS LITTLE DOG sobs so much feels. She was honestly so happy to see us and kept jumping up toward us! Aunty says I can go and visit her sometimes. (:
Anyway I had thought that Banjeegal was a little Chihuahua mix, but she is actually a Maltese who's already 10 years old! Her hair was just really short from having returned from the groomer's the first time she got lost. I feel happier knowing she's a Maltese but as Cesar Millan said, we shouldn't judge a dog by its breed! SO BLOODY HELL, IF THEM ANNOYING CHIHUAHUAS ARE SPOTTED TOO I'M GONNO SAVE THEM hahaahahahahaha okay I kid
Goodbye.
