I went jamming for the first time approximately three months ago.
On the same day, earlier in the afternoon, Meinu, Boss and I welcomed Teyhonwei back to Singapore.
We had lunch at a hawker centre and guess who was a greedy little kid queuing at every single stall (I exaggerate) for quintessential Singaporean dishes?
One thing one misses most about home is the food. Singaporean food is delicious and cheap. And also incredibly unhealthy. But sometimes it's that unhealthiness one craves, I suppose.
We were trudging about in the extreme heat trying to get to
The Ukulele Movement because the bridge over the river past to it had been closed down for renovations and WE LET SOMEONE WHO HAD BEEN AWAY FOR EXCHANGE FOR 6 MONTHS LEAD US THERE. *facepalm
I didn't manage to get a ukulele from The Ukulele Movement 'cos none of the sounds appealed to me, so we headed over to Peninsula Plaza!
Nemmy got some photos developed first.
MA HOMIES SINCE SEC 1/SEC 3 WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU THREE THE MOSTTTTTTTTTTTT :D
Thanks for the awesome company while I was being really indecisive and picky regarding which ukulele I should have gotten. I was quite torn between a Soprano and a Tenor because I liked the size of a Tenor but not the darker sound, but we discovered a gem of a Sop in
Maestro and Boss got it for me!
Thank you for my belated birthday present that I unabashedly and blatantly requested for, hehe. I'm not too good at playing it yet; I've practised a few times but I just keep wanting to sing along while playing and that level of coordination is something I don't possess... YET. I'LL GET THERE!
Had dinner at
Meet Paul - Fish Man at a coffeeshop on the first level of Tanjong Pagar Plaza.
They specialise in Deep sea fish! This is the Halibut, deep fried, with fries sprinkled with a cajun seasoning, a coleslaw and tangy tomatoes ($7.50).
I got the Unagi with rice drizzled in a fragrant onion oil ($6.50)!
Both were really yummy, you should visit the stall if you're in the vicinity!
Here's their
Facebook page and their address and opening hours:
Blk 7 Tanjong Pagar Plaza #01-105, Singapore
Monday - Saturday: 11am-7pm
Went to
Live AMP at Chinatown Plaza to meet The Linguists for my first ever jamming session! I was really excited to see how jamming sessions go, and actually I needn't have been there; I appeared on the false pretense to make sure that they were gonno take their performance seriously and be of a certain calibre for their performance during the EL party. :p But they managed to rope me in for harmonising for certain songs -_-" Haha
Joachim on cajón duties, Gary of course on singing duties, with his splendid lovely voice :x
Bert on keyboard duties!
Melcher was on guitar duties :D
We did a few runs for each of the songs and it was really fun!
Propped Thom on a stand and this was my test shot:
Published solely for Melcher's expression. I really thank the stars for putting Melcher in my life because I would be taking things damn seriously all the time hahahahahaha.
Thank you friends for letting me perform in a band HAHAHAHA :D It was great fun!
Clearing out photos slowlyyyyy, please be patient with me! (:
Hope everyone's having a cheery mid-week!
