Whenever I jaywalk or cross the road legally (the former rarely occurs, I am very much the law abiding citizen), an image flutters across my mind. I see the poor soul on a New York street getting knocked down by the big rig truck that shimmers and appears out of nowhere. I see that
Fringe episode in my mind where David Robert Jones was trying to reach the alternate universe.
Whenever I am extremely thirsty and drink my water in huge gulps, I imagine myself to be Beeman in the film
Constantine. He runs into the liquor store and blindly grabs bottles of alcohol, downing them, yet believing that not a single drop touches his tongue. Needless to say, I don't die from drinking water...
There are so many concrete images in my mind from films, television and music videos that serve as representation and/or standards of comparison to my own experiences and emotions.
I wish I had a mind as beautiful and creative as the creators of
Fringe. It was and is my favourite sci-fi television series.
