IM SORRY FOR TYPING IN UPPERCASE BECAUSE EVERYONE SAYS THAT IT MAKES IT SEEM AS IF IM SHOUTING BUT IM REALLY SO HAPPY!!!! I WOKE UP AND BEAMED AT MY REFLECTION IN THE MIRROR THEN I STARTED DANCING. 

ZOUK IS REALLY MY HAPPY PLACE.

okay I've a feeling I'll regret this entry in a bit because of how childishly simple and foolishly stunted I seem because I'm being so happy over a party night out but I really haven't gotten out in awhile and just meeting so many of my friends in 1 night was heartwarming.  I love that we all immediately jump into conversation without any awkwardness and we just flow into BEING with each other.  Seeing people at zouk with whom I can discuss dance music with is so awesome too.  First thing I said to Nick after the initial tap and hug was "I'm really feeling the music now but it's like so light and I'm confused and worried because I'm scared that Joseph Capriati would immediately pound out industrial techno and cause people's moods to just dip" and he didn't even miss a beat and went "But it's good now.  I think it'll be fine.  The music hasn't really started" and right at that moment Joseph took over the decks and the bass kicked in and Nick went "I think it's starting now".  I really needn't have worried BECAUSE Joseph Capriati slowly worked it up - bodies were taking their times, swaying a bit, getting used to the sound shift, moving toward an abandoned space we were, with no inhibitions, the forceful music leading the way.  He built it up to hard techno and that my friends, is really how I like my nights to be.  Pounding, menacing, dystopian style techno.
