Satisfaction

Yesterday I jogged for 30 minutes.  I also had a lot of food for dinner, and I indulged in 3 pieces of Daim candy for dessert.  My body weight and energy intake probably would have remained the same if I hadn't eaten so much and hadn't gone jogging.  However, the satisfaction derived from both exercising AND eating chocolate wouldn't have been gained.  Given a choice, I would do the same (probably eat slightly less 'cos I was really full yesterday).

The benefits from running, for me, are quite significant.  Running is therapeutic for me.  Usually, I'd be either be thinking a lot or just zoning out and focusing on following the beat of my music.  It's two ends of the spectrum, but they're both good for me.  When I think a lot, the exercise usually involves a lot of yelling and UPPERCASE SCRIPT flying out in my mind.

YOU CAN DO THIS
PAMELA PUT MORE ENERGY INTO IT
WORK THOSE GLUTS
YOULL BE FINE
DONT CRY
THINGS WILL GET BETTER
DONT SLIP ON THAT PUDDLE
YOU HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO DO
OMG
RUN
RUN
RUN

So yeah.  Pretty much, running is a form of self-encouragement and intrinsic motivation for me.  I guess I am very self reflexive a person and sometimes all these inner monologues need a positive twist, you know?

This post made a lot more sense in my head when I was thinking about it in the shower.  But then again so do so many things.  The shower is magical.

Also, I haven't been really jotting down my thoughts and it's getting a bit too mad in my mind.  Can't wait till I can properly sit down (am doing this while typing on the phone, which, I may most definitely tell you, dear reader, I dislike heartily) and write!

Hope you have a fulfilling Tuesday, and may you find the chance to be kind to someone today (:
