While returning home on my cab ride earlier this morning, I was recounting the shitty days and incidents I'd had this week to Yihan. I was listing down all the things that had been said and everything that had happened.
When we pulled up to the lobby of my block, the uncle said "保重。尽力就好” which basically means "Take care. As long as you do your best, it's fine"
FUCK. THIS TYPE OF KINDNESS GETS TO ME MAN. A stranger's kindness. FCK. He needn't have said that to me but at that moment I just sorta gave a sad hiccup of a laugh and thanked him. Can't say it made me feel loads better but it did make me feel that things aren't as bleak as they seem.
I pray for strength...
Also like side note - don't yall think that cabbies are privy to such intimate details of people's lives simply by virtue of their occupation? I don't see it as a, they're invisible they're just my driver thus I say whatever the fuck I want. But I think it's more like a I don't think I'll see this driver past this day/night/ride hence I won't bother to filter my sentences.
But I've actually gotten picked up by the same driver twice. A female taxi driver at that, ain't that rare!
Wow writing makes me feel so much significantly better
