A happy holidays to all!
I've just watched Prometheus (Ridley Scott, 2012), and I'm not too pleased to share with you that I'm horrified to the bones. O_O This was terrifying on so many levels. I think I'm probably going to have nightmares tonight.
The first film I watched this afternoon was Whiplash (Damien Chazelle, 2014), which was delightful. I found myself holding my breath at many intense instances, and uncontrollable tapping of the finger to Andrew's drum beats, especially at the last scene, was inevitable.
Map to the Stars (David Cronenberg, 2014) was the next film I caught, and it was reaaaaaaally uncomfortable to take in. I was intrigued by the level of madness displayed by so many of the characters; that madness was normalcy to them, which was difficult to comprehend. But what is insanity but perspective? Then whilst reading reviews of the film after, I realised that this was the same guy who directed The Fly. Good god, no wonder they're both so eerily disturbing.
Today I got home at 5am after an impromptu trip to Zouk with the colleagues. It was PACKED to every corner. I danced to EDM. I also lazed in bed till 1pm this afternoon. It's glorious not to have to wake up to an alarm, even more so, to an alarm that's set before 7.00am.
I am off to watch another film!
