The Xx concert in Singapore

If you haven't already surmised from the entry's title and also this introductory video coincidentally named Intro as well hahahaha I'm so punny ---- okay excuse the 0448 AM humour --- I went to catch The Xx's concert in Singapore!


Here's my ticket. Initially they had only planned for one show on the 2nd of August, but I think the response was so overwhelming that they planned another on the 1st!

Met Teyhonwei and we two excitable kids went off...


To be groupies and bought the tee! I think I always buy concert tees (that's because I seldom go for concerts hahahaha) so I just readily bought it though it was 50SGD. Nem gamely bought his as well and was suffering from a little post-spending shock hahahahaha.


Nemmy and I! Yes, it says "Talented" on his tee. If you think my eyeshadow is very dark beneath my eyes, yes it is. It's on purpose. I'm extremely into looking pale and desolate these few days. Hobo-inspired, I like to call it. Hehe


The view from our seats! We were really early and I was freezing. Whilst attempting to buy a bottle of coke, I bumped into Erica! 'twas nice. (:


Brought Thom along even though I wasn't sure if the Star Theatre management had a no camera policy! Luckily, they didn't and I could take better quality photos hehe. Wearing my owl-print blazer from Primark, London!


Gema opened for them! He was pretty good; I'm glad we didn't skip his set for food. He played quite a few tracks which I knew and some which were really groovy as well! Managed to shazam some of them hehehehe.

At about slightly past 9pm, The Xx came on!!! I was so overwhelmed with emotions I started feeling so worked up HAHAHAHAH. Kept screaming like a mad fangirl and when Oliver first started singing tears formed in my eyes hahahah (':


He kept swaying around with his guitar! Haha.

I think they opened with Try from Coexist but I was still quite excited and all so I didn't really remember HAHAHAHA. I think it was a song that I wasn't very familiar with.

Then they went to Heart Skipped a Beat and that's one of my favourite tracks so I immediately recorded it!!

I really really have no favourites in this band. I'd turn a lesbian for Romy, stay heterosexual for Oliver, and be a willing servant to Jamie. I really love Jamie's dj stuff as well. :DDDDDDDDDDDDD


I think this was during Fiction! The lighting was really cool.


And this was during Night Time! I took a video but it's taking really long to upload on Youtube so I'll do it tomorrow. The effects for this song were amazing -- it really resembles a night sky! (:

They also performed VCR, Crystalised, Chained, Reunion, Intro (which recording I'll upload as well!), Sunset (ditto this), Infinity, Missing and Tides. Mostly songs from Coexist!

Then they left.

HAAHAHAHA the concert was pretty short. I had a really, really awesome time, regardless! I mean, it was The Xx. I got to see Oliver -- though I wasn't close enough to get eyeball-fucked by him, sigh. Hahahahhahah. Jamie's so talented. Romy's brilliant. Aye I've so much love for this trio.


SO GLAD I WENT!

Afterwards, Nem and I went to Starbucks at One Rochester for a quick bite!


Here's my caramel, walnut and dark cinnamon swirl. I only got a Giant Peach Tazo that has no caffeine in it so I don't understand why I'm still so energetic. I suppose it's the excitement and happiness from the concert hahahahaha. And I'm unearthing many awesome tracks from a mix so I'm reaaaaally happy heh.

Came home and changed into my The Xx tee!!

There was a black tee, which I would have preferred, but the 'X' sign on that was just a plain white one! This colorful psychedelic one is better hahahahah
