Happy vs. Sad

I had this belief that one shouldn't start their day off happy, because things will downhill from there. If one starts their day grumpy, things can only go up! Yesterday, when I felt cheery in the morning, I felt quite worried because usually that meant something bad would happen later in the day. However, it went by relatively well and it ended well! Maybe it's because I tried hard to be happy? I realised yesterday, it takes more effort to be happy because it's just more difficult to not react negatively or take things negatively - it's easier to let go of one's emotions and be sad/grumpy/upset/annoyed. However yesterday I really made an effort to be happy and to take things lightly. While it's difficult, I feel it'll be beneficial to my mental health in the long run.

So yay to being happy! I hope you're working hard to be happy too. (:
