It's 4:42 AM why am I up?
At least my cup of Milo is accompanying me.

A few days ago, when approaching my mom, I started dancing and just jerking my body around randomly -- just to
annoy my mom 'cos she believes I should behave my age. :p I accidentally knocked my elbow on the handle of the door and it hurt like crap. However I managed to keep a straight face and continued shaking my ass.
After I walked past her, I remarked "
Wah that hurt" and she went "
Yes I know, I admire that you did not reveal your pain and just continued dancing"
HAHAHHAAH it's moments like this that I remember and which make me snort to myself at the most inappropriate moments. I think it's funnier in Mandarin though.
I have some pictures for you today! They're from
BEFORE the semester started. I know, time seems to have passed by so quickly, hasn't it? It's like you just blinked and TADAAA it's week 12, bloody hell. But damn, just less than a month and exams will be over. And I'll be able to eat this again!!
SHIOOOOOOOOOOK MAKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I really like the combination of salmon, unagi, tobiko (flying fish roe), and avocado! All drenched in the magical mayonnaise, sigh *content
Photos we took while waiting, because, be prepared to wait, orders for shiok maki usually pile up:
INVASION OF MY CAMERA SPACE, PFFT
Bought myself some back-to-school treats!
That pencil case cost me 20$ hahahahahaha. Nylon magazine was bought because the lady on the front cover,
Emmy the Great, is just too stunning. She's a British singer-songwriter; I don't listen to her music but I love her style! Go check out her site :D
Honestly though, this semester has gone by so
fast -- time was measured by dates of project and essay deadlines. Thank goodness though, for the brilliant company I have in school in the form of my amazing EL majors, because, I think, without this group of friends, I'd be utterly depressed most of the time. Been spending a lot more time with the EL peeps and as I told Joachim, I wish we'd started LingSoc way earlier just so we could have gotten to know each other better. But always look on the bright side of life, at least we have a society set up now! Unrecognised by the school, sadly, but I'm sure we'll get there. If you've been following my blog, you'd have known that we've had a fundraiser done, and just on Tuesday, we had our first
welfare pack giveaway! :DDDDDDD

(I stole this photo from Rowland's FB, credits to him!!!)
There was stuff like biscuits, hello panda snacks, coffee sachets, foolscap pad, highlighters, vouchers and cup noodles in the bag. Some were sponsored and some we bought with the money we earned from the fundraiser (: (: (:
Also, we gave out the LingSoc tee! (: I seldom wear t-shirts so it was tough for me to pair it with a bottom. This was my attempt at a LIKKABOSS pose and face, but I apologise, I don't match up to Melcher Tan, the New Face of EL. Hahahahaahahahahahahahahaha
Had pretty natural makeup on, rosy cheeks and light pink lips! Was also using my No7 skin illuminator for the first time. Usually I avoid anything that adds shine/illuminates to my skin because I have oily skin and thus I prefer a matte finish on my face, but I just felt like using that product that day. It really shines through (in a nice and subtle way), I think it's really pretty!
Did you know that "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo Buffalo" is a grammatical sentence in American English? That's because there're three meanings to the word
buffalo; it can refer to the city Buffalo, or it can refer to the animal the buffalo, and a less known meaning of the word is "to bully". If you add some words to help, for instance, "Buffalo buffalo (that other) Buffalo buffalo buffalo, (themselves) buffalo Buffalo buffalo", it might be easier to understand (:
On the back of our shirt it says "Trust me I'm a linguist" AND I'M REALLY AGAINST THAT ;_; I don't think absolute determination lies with figures of authority with institutional power. Hahahahaha our work is supposed to be descriptive, not prescriptive! In any case though, the phrase is riding on the popularity of the whole "Trust me I'm a _" wave, so... I guess I'm fine with it. Or not, but I use my backpack to cover the back. Hahhahahahahaha
Hung out a little with Bert, Divya, Nat and Rowland in the Honours room. Nat was like "Pam, can you please upload an OOTD shot every day and not make me wait for Mondays just to see what you're wearing?" :DDDDDDDD So sweet of her to say that la!!! :D #happy hahahahahahahah I told her I'll try. Anyway Moritza also told me that before she got to know me better, she knew me as "the girl who dresses well for cinematic." I was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSS, awesome!!!!! Always feel so happy when I receive compliments like these, especially from girls who dress well! :D
Bryan and I ordered KFC for dinner because I was seriously in need of some comfort food. Because I'd skipped lunch I thought I could eat three pieces of FRIED CHICKEN but I only ate two in the end and left him with a lot of leftovers HAHA

Fried chickennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
A vast difference from shiok maki, but still. You take what you can get! Was very happy I could spend some time with Bryan just resting for a bit (from the food coma), but both of us had revision on our minds. TESTS TESTS TESTS.
I just have to pull through this week and the next and all will be done, ROARS
Hope you're fighting hard as well, stay healthy and happy, much much much love,
Pamela
