This is such a beautiful song (': It's not electronic music, so for friends who mourn my having gone over to the dark side i.e. dance music, please check this song out!

I am alive, yes I am :D
joanne:
hullo. ):
i got into trouble. again. sigh.
Everyone gets into trouble once in awhile, it's fine. Plus, there'll always be something you do in that one single day that some other person can (and usually do) find fault with. So just take a deep breath, swear at them in your mind. Then move on. (:
passerby:
what lipstick did you use in Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo post? so pretty
Hi! I used Etude House's pink lip liner to slightly line the outline of my lips, then I filled in the middle with MAC's Hue. (: Hope that helps!
zhi wei:
Emmy the Great! okay her music isn't exactly my 'type' per se but I do love one song by her. (hearts) all ze best for schoooool
Haha which one is it! I've never heard any of her songs, but she's so... her face is so unique that I just bought the magazine because of her even though I'd never seen her before! And the makeup done on for that front cover is brilliant
Thanks so much for the tags everyone (:

Top of the morning to y'all! I was up doing my essay and from a
0 word count at 0248 hours I reached a
1,400 word count at 0628 hours :D I probably read about 10 papers trying to research for this and I genuinely hope my focus isn't wrong, but oh well, fingers crossed! As I told Bert this morning right after waking up, "
I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about the unfinished essay -- it's like there was this weird unknown voiceover going on in my head. 'One possible reason may be that...' 'It would be useful to...' 'One could make the argument that...'" LOL wtf my brain just wouldn't shut up. I also have to hand up topics for thesis tomorrow and I haven't gotten to writing those, so today's going to be a busy day.
Here's a short update from when I had time to leisurely enjoy lunch with my dearest Ms Neo (:
LIPS: MAC's Viva Glam 2
Zhiweiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

With her amazing fettuccine from
La Nonna!
If you want to read my previous post on La Nonna, click
here! We had to sit outside in the stifling heat -- most people had made reservations for seats inside, so if you really need the aircon, be sure to phone in advance! La Nonna still has its 1-for-1 special for pastas and pizzas from 12-3pm on weekdays at Holland Village, so be sure to check that out.
Zhiwei's choice! Because I was so smitten with it the previous time I had gone, I was sincerely contemplating getting the same dish as well, but the waiter convinced me to try.... this!:
Crabmeat linguine!
Described on La Nonna's site as "
Linguine Pasta served with Crab Meat in Tomato Cream sauce and fresh Basil"
I died and went to heaven after my first bite. Food heaven. Seriously though, how good can food get?!?!? I really prefer cream pastas to tomato-based pastas but I genuinely think I'll just order this every time I'm at La Nonna. It is THAT good. *-* Zhiwei agrees as well! I think the freshness and the seafood flavour of the crabmeat, coupled with the basil, really lift the tomato taste so that it's not just.... tangy tomato. You know how sometimes tomato sauces just taste really too... sour and gooey? This is definitely NOT like that. For a cream based pasta fan like me to rave about a tomato-based pasta should be blasphemy, but I gladly sin because this is really too good. The crabmeat is so sweet!!
As I said previously, if I'm at Holland Village I'd most probably buy Plain Vanilla cupcakes and that's what we went to do!
Zhiwei's ENTIRE TOTORO OUTFIT!!! HAHAHAHA. Totoro tote, totoru phone cover and totoru key chain!! Kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiii
We took 95 back to school because both of us had class at 2pm. Love you missy, was great catching up with you over lunch! (: (: (:
This is the sort of question we are asked during Thursday classes with Dr. Talib (: Seems funny, but I really enjoy what we talk about in class with him! Sometimes I wish we had a film studies department in school. ;_; But linguistics based, and also cross fertilised with ideas from cultural studies. Oh, and add in a bit of sociological work as well. Lmao

After class, hopping down the familiar road to KR hall
OOTD! The beanie is from Asos, from a British brand called
Lazyoaf. :3 Estella was saying it's really cute, but she balked after hearing it cost 40++SGD hahahahahahahaah. My denim overalls are a pass-me-down from my aunt! I am digging all 'em old clothes, fo' shizzle ma nizzle
Bryan calls this the "Oh I have a headache" pose LMAO
Why did you think the cupcakes were for myself? NOPE they weren't, I had gotten them for Bryan because he was very stressed out over his midterms. Somehow he guessed correctly which two flavours I bought! I was very surprised. They were the salted caramel and the strawberry white chocolate. Both amazing, by the way.
After passing him the cupcakes, I headed to Bishan to meet my parents for dinner at Ramenplay. Hahahahahaha yes I know my three meals of the day were all pretty heavy AIYA ONCE IN AWHILE NEVER MIND ONE OKAY (this is my singular use of Singlish in my entry, do you find it marked? *winks)

I still went for the Sanpou tonkotsu ramen, which had three different kinds of pork cuts, the char siew, pork belly, and the pork cheek hahahahahahaahah It was very yummy, but I was absolutely stuffed afterward. Went home and collapsed, stared at the ceiling for a bit before recovering. Lol
OKAY, I SHOULD STOP HERE AS I OUGHT TO FINISH MY ESSAY. Hope you're doing good and well. Have a lovely day peeps! (:
Sending lots of hugs & kisses,
