It's been a long time since I've felt so angry and repulsed, and it's all from watching a film. North Country is such a heart wrenching film, because it resonates deeply; all women who watch this film will know every fear that Josey Aimes talked about - of getting sexually harrassed, of getting raped, of getting attacked.
People really like to make a joke out of it, but being a woman is living scared shitless every day, regardless of what she's wearing, what time of the day it is, and what job she's doing.
Feeling so pained and exhausted I need a break.
