I'm going to update about Chinese New Year! This year's CNY came really early (31 January), usually it's early-mid February. This year, I scrubbed clean all three toilets and cleared out some crap in my room in preparation of the new year. Last year I didn't do nothing because I'd just flown back hahahahaha. I don't really get why we do spring cleaning because we seldom have guests over, but this year we also put up decorations and it really did feel a bit more festive! I think I influenced my mommy, because I made her watch Million Dollar Decorators with me hahahahahahahahaahhah.
Anyway, back to the lunar new year. Everyone kept sending this around:

Made my younger brother take an ootd for me and this was the best he took! My blue dress is from
Daisy Street on ASOS; I really love the check print and this is the first midi-length dress I've ever had. This dress almost never made it to Singapore - because of other people's opinions, I'd initially decided not to get it, but I really felt like this was one dress I could really rock (HAHA), so I bought it on a more recent purchase on ASOS. Thank you ASOS for having sales a second time and bringing my attention back to this dress! :p My metallic blue strappy heels are from ASOS as well. They're a pain to walk in because they're extremely high. But they go so well with my dress! And I usually buy covered heels so a strappy heels was a nice change. Nails are pastel green keeping in theme!
Next house: more angbaos!! I'm terrible hahahahahahah kept taking photos with angbaos. :p It's something that everyone enjoys receiving, but I'm just kidding la hahaahaha it's really not a big deal - I just needed an excuse to be taking a selfie. Ahem
Cousin with all her.... wait for it... toy cars!! Gender norms, be broken, thank you. When I was a little girl I played with toy cars mostly, and broke off dolls' heads. Till now, I still don't feel much of an attachment to soft toys (unless they're life-sized) or dolls (they creep me out).
A life-sized doll would definitely scare the bejeezus out of me.

Mommy, aunt, grams and my other aunt! I like to call them the 4 jie mei hahahahaahah my granny just looks youthful too with her happy grin. I love it when my friends meet my granny because they always tell me that she's really cute and nice! My granny's a really good person, she has positive vibes all the time, though she's been through a lot of hard times (not that my mommy and the rest don't take care of her, but I'm referring to when they were children)!

CNY is a time for
EATING BAK KWA meeting up with relatives with whom you haven't seen in ages to catch up. I know most people hate CNY and say that making small talk is really tedious and annoying but I really like to talk to people! So it isn't that big a deal for me. You honestly don't know what you can learn each year. And you never know, maybe your "Hey, so how are you doing now?" might actually be the
only time your interlocutor gets asked that for the entire bloody year. But to be honest I really like having my whole family around. (: Also eating steamboat, that's one thing that I haven't done enough this year..... ):
Gonna have more steamboats through the year regardless of whether it's CNY or not muaahahaha, starting with the gathering with LingSoc!
