Of relationships between women

The title is related to what I'm blogging about today!  :D  Mrs Twit and I went to catch Frozen at Kallang the other day.  Strangely, every other cinema hall had ceased showing the film!  Except for Filmgarde at Kallang.  Lucky for us, I guess - we'd been meaning to watch it together for quite some time and we didn't manage to because of our busy schedules.

Before the film started there were a couple of trailers - for KIDDY FILMS!  I guess target markets and all that.  Huda and I were giggling like silly kids at the trailer for Mr Peabody and Sherman trailer.  It seems extremely funny and it's really cute!!  There're a few puns which are pretty good.  Think I'll catch it when it's out, heh.  Oh, and there was the Lego film!  I didn't laugh as much at that, but Huda was still guffawing away lolol.

Frozen was good.  I really loved the choral music in the film; the opening song gave me (good) goosebumps.  The altos sound so beautiful!  With regard to the narrative itself, I'm so glad Disney has stopped using the plot of a boy saves a damsel in distress and is choosing to focus on sisterly love instead.  I still think they have room for improvement!  I know everyone was talking about Let It Go and how amazing the song is, but I couldn't not imagine Idina Menzel's face (from Rent the film, no less) when Elsa was singing, so that kind of interfered with my enjoyment of the song.  I prefer Anna's For the First Time!  (:  on the whole I thought the film was nice, with Olaf contributing to a lot of the humourous moments (:

Kinda wandered outside after the film and snapped photos in the sunlight

I told her I'd lost all ability to take nice selfies, and when she reviewed this, she went "EH YA YOU ARE RIGHT MAN that is a shit photo"  -_- this kind of friend!!!!!

She held the phone for this one hahahahah

Self created V-shaped face :p

Asked her to help me with an outfit shot and she snapped this:

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA I would never use any other person's phone to take such photos!!!!!!  :p  okay but she looks cute, still.  Deranged-cute, maybe.

A haphazard ensemble due to my having gone clubbing the previous night!!

Black muscle tee, ASOS ; denim jacket, Zara ; denim high waist shorts, Modparade ; red shoulder bag, Zara

We were talking about how some girls can carry off the I'm-looking-off-dreamily-into-the-distance look whereas we...

Look like I have drool comin' outta my mouth, hurhur

Loved huda's extremely festive sweater!!  I actually stuck my hand into the sweater sleeve, just creepily on top of her arm to see if it was really warm HAHAHAHAH

Dada always has the cutest brooches

Though I feel that Frozen was a little overrated (so many people were saying that Disney has changed, stopped privileging heterosexual love, and started treating females equally, which I do not agree with), I appreciate that they have tried to emphasise another type of love this time: sisterly love.  While I do not have sisters I do have best friends (like Huda) whom I feel sometimes ARE like my sisters (minus the annoying teenage catfight years hehe), and this type of love is one of the most important loves in the world.  We all need role models and supporters, we all need friends and love, and we all need someone who can understand and emphathise.  Your sister will be that someone, and your best friend will be that someone.  It doesn't necessarily have to be someone of the sex which you are attracted to, it doesn't have to be romantic love.

Another person whom I really love is my mommy!  She accompanied me to something during which I really needed support.  I had initially told her that I could go by myself, but she insisted on accompanying me even though she was really tired from spring cleaning.  I'm glad she did, because I was a wreck after, and she was there to comfort me.

We had our favourite cheesecake to cheer ourselves up.  (:

COFFEEBEAN AND TEA LEAF'S WHITE CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE!
I wish Coffee bean would do this in a full cake so I could buy it for celebrations ):

Momsy and I!

Also accompanied her to shop for her CNY clothes.  It's amazing the contrast between the two of us; she is resilient to any allure of clothes while I absolutely cannot resist even window shopping.  *sheepish

That sums up my entry!  Two good days spent with two amazing women.  (:  hope you're having a nice night!

If there are any men who are reading this, remember that brotherly love and your love for your father are important as well!
