I like these two remixes of London Grammar's
Hey Now a lot! The first is by Arty, hence, more trance-y, and the latter is by MK, hence, more house-y. Very sexy house, though.

I'm having incredible stomach pains. I was hit with a bout of
food poisoning two days ago, and I thought it would go away rather quickly, but hell no, I'm still hobbling around like an old woman. This was my first time getting food poisoning, so I was quite alarmed when my stomach started hurting, because I didn't know what was happening. I had gotten diarrhoea in the morning but I didn't think much of it. I was with Bryan when the first cramps attack hit - it was
excruciating. I couldn't get up by myself because exerting any force hurt so badly. Thank goodness Bryan was with me and he fed me cheese crackers while I was lying down *-* I'm not sure how it worked but I think I was also getting a gastric attack because I hadn't eaten for the entire day, so everything culminated into a gigantic PAIN. Thank you B for being so caring though! The stomach pains died down for awhile, but by the time I cabbed home, I was in extreme pain again. My parents couldn't bear to see me suffering so they drove me to Mount Alvernia *-* I'm terrified of needles, but the pain was making me so faint that I just agreed to two jabs on my arse. Damn.
I never knew food poisoning could be so terrible!!! ): The cause of mine was most probably laksa that had been left sitting for 3 hours. My parents had bought it as lunch for me, but I was taking a nap so I had it as dinner. I never gave it a second thought - that the cockles in them might have gone bad! As Yihan says "No laksa left out for 3 hours is worth it man."
I hope I get well soon, because this tightness and soreness of my stomach is causing me so much pain that I cannot stay in a sitting position for long. D:
Enough of complaining about my illness! I'm taking a break from writing my (part of) thesis so let me just fill you in on what I've been up to. (:
Bryan and I went to watch
The Lego Movie (because I've been writing about films I feel tempted to write
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, 2014 hahhahahaha) on one of the days of recess week. It was really enjoyable! Initially I thought it'd be rather lame but I enjoyed it thoroughly. It had many puns and pop-culture references so I think if you're older it'll be funnier to you. Kids would still like it though, I think, for its colourful graphics and catchy tunes. I never quite know how to feel when they yank the audience out from the cartoon world to the "real" world though (they did it in Spongebob too)! But it really showcased the immense intricacy and elaboration of the Lego sets and figurines that they used in the film, so that was pretty cool.
He's always tilting his head horizontally when we take photos together, I honestly don't know why hahahhah
Haven't done a dark black smoky eye with a nude lip for rather long! Using Nars' Night Breed eyeshadow, and Sleek's Liqueur lipstick.
Went back to school with him! To have ba chor mee at the Deck for dinner hahahahahahaha
Felt like dressing like a punk that day! The crop top with the bold print is from ASOS, my high waist jeans are from a random blogshop, and my spiky metallic necklace is from h&m. I can't remember where I got my pink heart-shaped ear studs from, but they were bought when I was on erasmus/exchange! (: I like dressing up in a certain style (for instance, punk), but not sticking to it completely... I like to have something to mess it up (for example, my pink bag and the earrings)!
Haphazard, that's my thing.
On another day, I had invited some of the EL majors over to my house for a steamboat session. Woke up friggin' early (7plus?) to head to the wet market to get the freshest vegetables. WTH AUNTIES SCARE ME OKAY. I'm not known for backing down but I'm very meek when Singaporean aunties are involved hahahahahaha. Especially in the domain that they OWN, 'kay. If they cut my queue I just... let them cut it. Hahahahahaha
Favourite WONG BOK and I!!!!! :DDDDDDDDD It is just cabbage, but it tastes so sweet after being blanched!
My mom really helped a lot in preparing for this steamboat; she went around borrowing some stuff from my grandma, buying ingredients from NTUC, cleaning up the house and all that. I told her she needn't have gone to all that trouble, but she was all like "I don't mind when your friends want to come, this isn't trouble at all" I think what she was implying was that she would rather have my friends over at my place where she knows what I'm up to than having me out at night hahahahahaa :x I kid. But thank you mommy! She is such a gem. (:
Happy fwens!
And here is the spread! I especially love all those factory made products like dumplings, CP wantons, and cheese tofu. As you all know, I am highly allergic to seafood and this kind of products has a lot of preservatives......... So I've basically been having rashes since recess week *sheepish* I'm off seafood and all that for now ya!!!!!! Hahahaahaaha.
Anyway, Divya, Alberta, Junyong, Joji and I had a good time eating and just talking about random stuff. Junyong commented that my Mandarin's pretty good! *beams* If you do not know, I speak Mandarin at home with my parents! So sometimes, in class, when people discuss about whether they picked up Singlish first, then standard English, or the other way round: learnt standard English then 'deteriorated' into Singlish (PLEASE NOTE QUOTATION MARKS HENCE SIGNALING I DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS), I totally
cannot relate, because I learnt English in school rather than at home!
Divya and Joji seldom have steamboat, so I was teaching them how long they had to put each ingredient in, which made me feel a little bossy LOL. Joji was happily eating scallops without knowing they were scallops :x We managed to finish a lot of the food!! It was mostly Junyong's effort though. :D Also, thank you Bert for bringing chocolates! They told me about Quizup and I've convinced Bryan to download it because I want to play it and not be distracted by its presence in my phone (I possess no willpower, halp) - IT IS SO FUN!!!!!!
Hope the EL majors can meet up more often, sem is ending!!! D: I think for me the EL majors used to be just major friends, not really close friends or anything. But since last semester I've grown much closer to all of them and I really cherish our friendships. (: We talk about other things besides school now! Sometimes, I can be really reliant on them for support lmao. Because they go through the same things I do, so they understand the same pains I endure. :x
On another day, I brought Flea and her cousin to try out
Saveur's duck confit! Both of them are huge fans of potato (anything potato), and they really liked this :D Yay!
Because I needed help learning how to cover up acne, Flea accompanied me to Sephora (: Bought the Make Up Forever Full Cover concealer - it is AMAZING. Also bought a new foundation, MAC's Matchmaster. I'm in love with both products!
Went for an earthy tone kind of makeup that today to suit my green cat dress *meow* On my lips I used Topshop's Mink!
I should get back to my thesis! Hope you young ones are out having a nice beer instead of being stuck in front of the laptop like I am. (:
Love,
Pamela
