Group Therapy

Went to Group Therapy Cafe at Duxton Road for the first time with my Mommy!

But first I met up with these two lovely people in school for a bit:

Say hi to Vernon & Shamini!  The last you've seen them on this blog probably was during secondary school choir days  O:  LOL.  We had a really good time catching up (Vernon with his love for sociology and uh, interest for drugs??  LOL I'm kidding, we were just talking about Europe and party culture - and Shamini with her social work events)!  We even burst out into some choir songs and I'm in love with how Anderson secondary school choir kids seem to be able to harmonise with each other so seamlessly, so beautifully  (':  Maybe it's our sound, or maybe it's our cohort :D

But anyway, had to go to Outram Park for an appointment and my mommy accompanied me!  Do you know there's a straight bus from Heng Mui Keng to Outram?  I took 143, I think!  Managed to catch some sleep on the way there.

We decided to head to Group Therapy Coffee at Duxton Road for some food.  Well, I decided anyway, hahahahaah my mom didn't have a say.  :x  Anyway, I'd heard good reviews and had wanted to check it out!  The doorway was this unassuming little and dark entrance... but it lead upstairs to a pretty and cozy interior!

Here's part of the menu; I got myself a Poached Eggs ($15), and my mom the Waffle Maple ($9)

Mommyyyyyyyyyy!

I liked the interior, the shelves were decorated with cute things and bottles, which just made it very homely

Mommy's waffles!  Nothing to rave about, sadly  D:

I did like my cup of flat white, though!

Whoop and here were my poached eggs!  I was shocked with how much hollandaise sauce they provided - but I've learnt from Bert that I should ask for the sauce on the side so as to control how much I want on my eggs.  I think the dish was quite yummy, because the bread was quite nice and toasty, and the amount of smoked salmon was alright.

The egg was done a little too well, though!  This was the one that was watery, but the other one was cooked a bit too much.  All in all I would recommend the combination of the location and the food - one can really slack away there, enjoying a quiet and cozy afternoon.  But I wouldn't go there specially for the food.

Mommy and I  (: (: (:  Thank you so much for being so wonderful and caring  (':  I was complaining to her about the arguments I'd been having with Bryan and she was just so impartial and... wise.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH one will never comprehend parental love, me thinks.

Anyway, I gots to head to bed!  Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!  :D

Week 10 is here everyone, time to panic and lose our heads
