La Nonna: Pizzas!

Hello!  I'm up at this unearthly hours when most of my friends have just either finished doing their work or have returned home from clubbing hahahahahaha.  Sadly, I didn't go out yesterday night because I was suffering from cramps and still feeling unwell.  D:  Eric Prydz came to Singapore!  His fear of flying is well-known, so I am feeling just a tad bit regretful, but, it's okay, my consolation to myself is "If you can't catch his set in Singapore, you just gotta work harder and catch him in SWEDEN!"  :D  I am ever so optimistic.  :DDD

Anyway, I have unearthed some photos from the last I visited La Nonna at Holland Village!  It is a lovely Italian restaurant which has an amazingly valuable 1-for-1 lunch deal from 12-3pm on its main courses (pastas, risottos, pizzas, main courses).  You can read my previous posts here and here.  (:

They provide free bread with a dip of balsamic vinegar and olive oil.  I like balsamic vinegar a lot, because it has a real richness in taste.  I'm not quite sure how (or in which dishes) to use it though, hence the almost-full bottle of mine at home!

Having tried the fettuccine (with prawns and zucchini in a creamy saffron sauce), and linguine (my favourite so far!  It has crab meat in a delicious, luxurious tomato sauce with chopped basil) before, I decided to try out the smoked salmon pizza ($23).

Generously topped with rucola salad, but blimey the best thing about it was the abundant amount of salmon!

The crust was thin and crunchy, and the capers provide a even more complex salty taste to the dish.  I honestly think two could share this!  We had to get the leftovers packed away.

Bryan got the linguine ($23) because he hadn't tried it before!  He agreed that it was reaaaaally yummy (even more so than the fettuccine)!  I want to try out other items on the menu, haha.

I really hope I get to go to La Nonna soon, because... this semester is going to be ending soon, and unless I get employed near Holland Village, I don't foresee myself enjoying the lunch deal.  Heh.

This was what I wore that day.

Black beret, F21 // heart sunnies, ASOS // blue flower ear studs, Lovita // forest green button top, studded high waist shorts, Stradivarius // denim jacket, Zara // mustard oversized clutch, Modparade

Okay, I be off!  Have a lovely weekend, everyone!  I think your weekends would be made lovely with a trip to La Nonna, honestly.  I know mine would  :D
