Insanely happy that I chanced upon
ODESZA yesterday, because these tunes are sooooooo good. Some tracks, like this,
Kusanagi, are chillstep, while others are electronica rnb kind of, with sick voice samples, like
Always This Late. Gawd I am happy. Just discovered more nu disco, and I am so ecstatic my eyes are glinting with excitement now. IMAGINE PAMELA WITH EYES GLEAMING WITH SPARKS OF HAPPINESS I FEEL LASER BEAMS ARE SHOOTING OUT OF MY EYES NAO WAHAHAHA. Okay scaring people aside, I managed to check out
The Provision Shop a couple of weeks back!
Our lunches and coffees!
He got a Traditional Carbonara ($14). I didn't really like it, to be honest! I felt that the fettuccine was too thick, and I particularly didn't like the chopped mint. Perhaps the mouthful I had taken had too much mint, but it tasted so fresh and the herb taste was so overpowering that I didn't feel like I was eating a carbonara.
Very much preferred my Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon ($12)! You get a choice between smoked salmon and honey baked ham, but of course for me there isn't much of a competition there. The toasted brioche had a nice crunch on its exterior but was still buttery in the middle. The consistency of the egg yolks was just nice as well! Overall, the hollandaise sauce complemented the dish well.
With two coffees, two lunch mains (they have a different menu for dinner) and a creme brulee for dessert, our meal came up to about $38! It's reasonable. The coffee I got was really good as well! I just had a Long Black ($4) and it tasted amazing. Compliments for the barista!
The Provision Shop opens at these hours:
Mon - Sat: 11:30 am - 9:00 pm
Sun: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm
And is located at Blk 3 Everton Park #01-79 S (080030)
Walked around Everton Park a little and came across this little chalkboard promoting hair removal services........ Was really tickled by it!
Go on, have a tequila shot. Ease the pain of ripping coarse hair follicles from your most sensitive areas. Have a tequila shot.
Crop top that I squeezed myself into with some effort is from Lacepipe. Goddamn Singaporean ladies average a UK6, I need to stop shopping sale items hahahaahah. High waist denim shorts are from Pull&Bear when I was in Spain and they're still losing colour after every wash even thou it's been 2 years. WHY?
Went to Clarke Quay to get a beer from Cheryl, Flea, Nerses and Eric. WAS FEELING SO OUT OF IT so I went home while the kids headed to Zouk for ladies' night.

Met the EL bunch a few weeks back as well!
Alyssa was kind enough to invite us over to her beautiful house! (: Thanks Aly
Everyone was really excited to see Wesley, because he's been prominently featured on Aly's instagram account! Hehe
Wes wes is superrrrrrrrr gentle and everyone's first reaction was "He's so much bigger in real life!" Maybe Instagram has odd shrinking properties or something, but that was literally what everyone said first. Hahahahaha
Wes wes is an old grandpa and totally ignoring my kiddish attempts to snap a photo with him. He was really cute and moved around really slowly! He's so fluffy he looked like a moving floor mat hahahaha.
Was a great time getting miffed at Jian Gang making stereotypes (in his defence he was talking about other people who were making those stereotypes) and then kinda purposely making stereotypes myself just to let them laugh at me. It's nice to be the brunt of the jokes sometimes. SOMETIMES ONLY OKAY MELCHER PLS NOTE THIS. We had a good time chillin' out at the rooftop, talking about life's uncertainties, goals, love, relationships and past school stuff, like our professors and modules. I think we only got closer in Year 4, most of us, but I'm really glad that most of us are still making the effort to go for gatherings and such! We're just on the same frequency and can understand each other really well. #ELmajorpride Between hearing the NIE kids talk about their difficulties with school and bouncing off ideas and encouragements, we just can continue talking on and on. I feel such a sense of connection with these friends!
(: Had another gathering to kinda give Joji a send-off but I'll blog about that another time. Got much to do today!
Love,
Pamela

fleeting precious moments
Today while I was walking over to get lunch for my mom and I, I was reminded of something. That thing was really important to me at that moment, but now, after many hours, I have forgotten it. I feel rather anxious that I can't remember it.
Why are thoughts fleeting? Is the transient nature of thoughts the reason why most of us see the need to document our experiences with tangible objects such as photographs or purchased items? I want for our memories to suffice, but memories fade. When the memory fades, does it mean that the experience is any less important? Do we have to prove to others that we've been there, done that?
I don't really know what's getting to me. I feel restless and tired. Somehow, most people around me have a PLAN. They have planS. Whilst I, have watched 11 episodes of Fringe today. I have also vacuumed both floors and painted my nails. I also bought a pomfret, but I have chucked it into the fridge. I have no plans. No plans whatsoever.
And at this point of time, two tracks come to mind
Pretty much, I'm just a teenage dirtbag who doesn't know her age. :D
Pretty much, happiness is a choice. I feel overwhelmed by what life's gonna bring me; I feel lazy to revise for my last examination of my university; I want answers but they're only going to be provided by myself. So hey. Listen to some silly music and be happy. Life will sort itself out. Forget the tears from hours back. Forget the fight. Move on.
I'm glad I'm alive
